[August 5th, Milwaukee, WI]- Western Building Products welcomes John Hooyman as new Chief Financial Officer. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Western is a 100% Employee-Owned company actively engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of residential building products in Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa and Illinois. As the executive leader of Accounting and Finance, Technology and Human Resources, John will be regularly engaged in all aspects of the employee stock-ownership plan (ESOP).
John is a CPA and proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He started his career with Ernst & Young and then spent 18 years in Accounting and Operations leadership roles at Direct Supply, Inc., another high-growth, employee-owned company in the Milwaukee area. In 2018, he joined Kesslers Diamonds as their Chief Financial Officer, where he matured their financial processes, enhanced the sustainability of their ESOP, and helped grow the overall business.
John is also an active member of the broader ESOP community and a regular participant in ESOP focused events, conferences and roundtables. In his role as CFO at Western, he will support his fellow employee-owners with a focus on creating long-term strength and sustainability of the ESOP.
